WOUP FAQ Hosted screenings of One Peace at a Time
Q: Can anyone host a screening of "One Peace At A Time?"
A: Yes, The producers of One Peace at a Time have graciously allowed us to offer the film to members of ONE.org, Architecture for Humanity, churches and interfaith groups, and others for fund-raising and inspiration. There is so very much to be done, a school to build in Kenya, reconstruction and much more in Haiti, fresh water to provide to children, food for the millions who go hungry. We will do our part with The Nobelity Project and you can do yours by simply screening the film for your group, neighbors and friends!
Q: What are some of the causes we could support with our event?
A: A portion of your basic screening fee will go to support construction of Mahiga Hope High School in Kenya. If you’d like to raise additional funds for the school or just want to learn more please go to www.nobelity.org.
Many Architecture for Humanity Chapters and others are raising funds for AFH’s Haiti Reconstruction Fund.
Through donations at the screening, ticket sales and sponsors, you can also raise funds for any project your friends or organization want to support.
Q: You have requested that we view and return the sample "One Peace At A Time" DVD within two weeks of receipt, however, we will require more time, is this acceptable?
A: Yes, you may have additional time to review the DVD, however, please send an email to marketing@montereymedia.com and inform us that you are interested but still viewing and considering the film. For your convenience, the DVD was sent to you with a self-addressed, postage paid envelope to return it after your initial review. Please note that should you register to host an event screening of the film, we will send you a Host Screening Package two weeks prior to your event.
Q: What are ways we can make our film screening event more than just a film screening?
A: Facebook and other social media outreach has been an effective tool for spreading the word on screenings. Direct email outreach and local press are also key. Please use our Hosting Resources as well as additional info about One Peace at a Time from The Nobelity Project at www.nobelity.org.
Many Hosts report success in reaching out to other groups in their community for group promotions of the screening. You can also invite local vendors to sell goods at the event (organic bake sale, hand-made items, distribute samples etc), a speaker to talk at the screening (local professor, Minister, etc), reaching out to include community members from local meditation centers, yoga studios, and centers.
We at monterey media also have provided a number of useful, downloadable tools under “Hosting Resources” on this website that will help your outreach.
Thank you again for your participation
